Dear Parent/Guardian, Your child has been selected to be part of The Sydney Russell School Christmas Concert on Tuesday 14th December. In order for them to take part, please return the attached permission slip to me as soon as possible.  Students will need to be back on the secondary school site by 5.20pm to set up before the event starts at 6pm. The event will finish at 7.30pm. The Christmas Concert will showcase some of our most talented musicians from all years, and promises to be a fantastic event. It will be a chance for friends, family and staff to see the work that goes on in the Music Department at The Sydney Russell School and to support our students and their dedication to music. Your son/daughter may be expected to attend after-school rehearsals in the next few days to prepare for the performance. Prior to the performance students may be required to rehearse during lesson time and will need to catch up on work that has been missed. On the day of the concert students will be able to go home at 3pm as usual but will need to be back on site for 5.20pm. Please ensure that they have had a meal beforehand. Students will not need to be in uniform for this event – we encourage festive jumpers! This concert is ticketed and costs £3 for adults, and £1 for students/concessions. Limited tickets are available on Parent Pay until midnight on Sunday 12th December. We will not be selling tickets on the door. Any students who wish to attend the concert should be accompanied by an adult. This event requires you to wear a face mask (unless exempt), as well as having a negative lateral flow Covid test within 24 hours before attending. Lateral flow tests are available from reception, and will also be available in the atrium from 5pm on the day of the concert.
